I created by DVD cover by starting with a blank canvas and outlining all the correct measurements, to ensure that when the DVD is created everything is to scale and in the right proportions. Once all the guideline was laid out, it was time for me to start working on creating my background. My background is a simple gradient layer effect that I bevel & emboss, to this really unique look. I thought this was the prefect look for my cover because it stood out and when i added my images to it they really caught your eye.
In my initial plan I was only going to just do the simple gradient layer effect but once i played around and bevel & embossed it, i really liked it. Plus I got feedback from some of my fellow peers and they agreed that it was different and fit for purpose.
Once I was happy with the background I added my four images in a collage on the front along with title of the DVD which is Moya's Kitchen. The font is "Edwardian Script" and it's in white.
Below is the image of how my cover looks so far. I still have a few things to complete as to what i'm going to do with the back i.e. which images i'm going to use and how it will be laid out. I still need to add a short description stating what will taking place during the course of the DVD. The images that I used on my cover are my own images taking from my iPhone.
Once all the finishing touches are adding I will update the blog with the finish product.
